Expressions of interest

Are you curious about what a career as an analyst or actuary could look like? Taylor Fry invites motivated students to express their interest in our internship program, designed to offer hands-on experience alongside our actuarial consultants.

Who are we?

We’re an analytics and actuarial consultancy, covering traditional general insurance through to cutting-edge data analytics.

With offices in Australia and New Zealand, we offer a supportive environment with limited hierarchy, free from internal competition and where each person shares in the rewards.

Our innovations have led to changes in government policy in Australia and New Zealand, and continue to break new ground, particularly in the social sector.

What we’re looking for

• Students in the third or fourth year of their degree
• Applicants studying in Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania or Queensland
• Quantitative degrees – we’ve hired actuaries, mathematicians, statisticians, engineers, biologists, physicists and economists
• An impressive transcript, with a willingness to learn, contribute and grow
• We’re happy to receive applicants who don’t yet have their permanent residency.

What will you do?

As an intern, you’ll provide support on client projects that seek to deliver tailored, commercial solutions using advanced data modelling and analytics techniques.

Some of the types of things you might help with include:

• Undertaking valuations and projections
• Developing and maintaining new and existing models
• Building statistical predictive models
• Data quality assessment and manipulation
• Research and development tasks.

Internship details

Our paid internship program offers flexible opportunities to gain experience, with potential to work from Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, Queensland, or our Melbourne or Sydney offices. We’re also open to discussing arrangements that best fit your academic and personal schedule.
